-According to How Long to Beat’s website the average play through takes about 23.5 hours to complete.
-According to GameRankings.com, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City currently holds an overall rank of #76, and #7 for the PS2.
-Currently, about 4 games are sold per day.
-Many aspects of Vice City were based on real world people and places, especially those belonging to Miami. The developers conducted extensive field research in Miami while creating Vice City.
-While being immensely popular and highly well-received, Vice City also sparked or rather re-ignited violence in video game arguments. Which would spark multiple lawsuits surrounding the Grand Theft Auto series and other violent video games at the time.
-The most prominent voice in these lawsuits would be Jack Thompson who would later be disbarred in 2007 after being accused of professional misconduct. The accusations ranged from defamatory false statements, in addition to attempting to humiliate, embarrass, harass, and intimidate targeted individuals and companies.
