August 1st 1982 saw the release of Donkey Kong Jr. in Japan. It played similarly to the original Donkey Kong with a major twist. You play as Donkey Kong Jr., who must rescue his father, Donkey Kong, from the evil Mario!
Interesting facts:
-One and only game where Mario is the villain
-Shigeru Miyamoto designed the game
-Donkey Kong Jr. is a playable character in Super Mario Kart for the SNES
