Released in July 1987, Double Dragon popularize the beat ’em up genre. It is responsible for may popular spin off titles such as the Battletoads games. It is a spiritual successor to Renegade featuring the ability to play cooperatively with a 2nd player, and the ability to equip enemies weapons during combat.
